This is an ink wash and graphite drawing I did for the different strokes from different folks year end portrait exchange. Angela painted a picture of me and I drew a picture of her; I took quite a bit of artistic license in my interpretation, hopefully she won't mind. My friend Joe asked me if he could use my elephant-bunny drawing for band t-shirts. This is, more or less, what the shirts will look like.

james castle

This is James Castle, he drew pictures with sharpened twigs, his saliva, and soot from under his stove. I drew him with a plastic bic mechanical pencil; the lead kept breaking and the eraser just smudged everything around.

This is a pop-up book I'm working on for a group project in Modern Art History. There will be lots more stuff in it eventually, most of it pertaining to the artist Max Ernst. I'm collaging over Jon's "The Incredible Hulk goes to School" book; somehow this is okay with both Jon and the Hulk.

We set up the 9th Annual postcard exhibit today, I mostly just walked around and annoyed the people actually doing work by taking pictures of them; then i ate pizza, then I went home - productive day.

my cat died the other day. these are pictures and drawings of her i found around the house (a lot of them are jon's, denise took the bottom-middle photo).. shadow (fat cat) was the best cat i've ever had, a great friend, and was apparently an inspiring muse to everyone in our house.
